Food & Wine | Mealspirations makes life easy in Ontario

I know I can’t be the only one to wish that there were more hours in a day and more days in a week. Some days, coming home to a fridge and staring into it can be very daunting. I wonder what I am supposed to cook for Julio & I that isn’t the same thing I have cooked a hundred times. No time, no energy and no motivation are the worst enemy for people like me who truly enjoy being in the kitchen.

Luckily for us, Mealspirations has just launched in Ontario, and I have no doubt for the rest of the country shortly thereafter. The How-To is quite simple really: No time? No worries. Simply sign up online and chose your dietary choices and preferences. Every week, your Mealspirations box is delivered to your door for the week ahead. The best part of it all, is the recipes are delivered with it all for your convenience.

Pre-measured, well thought out and delicious options are just a click away. Think the ease of online grocery shopping meets the mastering of a well trained chef and it’s all for your benefit and enjoyment. The best part of the program in my mind, aside from ensuring you get fresh produce on a regular basis, is that it teaches even the most culinary-challenged person how to cook in a simple step-by-step fashion. How positively ingenious!

For our mutual enjoyment, I decided to cook The Pan Seared Rainbow Trout with Panzanella Salad. With a few simple ingredients from my own pantry and a sharp knife, I eagerly took on this recipe and its ingredients. A few preparations later, my cook time from start to finish was no more then 3o minutes. In that short period of time, I turned fresh produce into a delicious and nutritious dinner for two, leaving me more time to share this fun experience with you all.

AND I get to keep the recipe for later. As a foodie, I’m in heaven. As an influencer, I am endorsing the process from start to finish. As a human being, I am simply left smiling and content after a beautiful meal with the man I love. No matter what way you look at it, Mealspirations is a company I recommend for you all in Ontario. And for the rest of the country, fingers crossed the company grows fast enough to be at your door soon. For those of you watching your figure and worried about your health, all meals feature an abundance of fresh vegetables and proteins, many of which are organic and locally-grown,  and weigh in at 800 calories or less.

For three meals meticulously planned for two, I received all these delicious goodies. The convenience and time saved were a welcome surprise on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Now, what does this all cost? The service is $78 weekly for two people or $144 weekly for a family of four – an average of $12 per meal, per person. This is in fact cheaper then some grocery stores I know and the amount of fresh food I received was incredible! At a competitive price point like this and with results such as tonight’s dinner, I would be shocked if you didn’t try this out for yourself.
