Events | Evil Dead – The Musical is THE best way to celebrate Halloween!

This week marks the beginning of some pretty amazing Halloween events and themed posts coming to DoTheDaniel.com. But when asked what the #DoTheDaniel & #FASHIONIGHTS team were up to on Halloween I was at a loss for quite some time. How would we celebrate one of my favourite holidays in the best way possible? Luckily for us, Evil Dead – The Musical is on its first-ever North American Tour and has landed right here in Toronto. With lots of laughter, some gory splatter for those of us sitting in the “splatter zone” and a great time to be had… come and see why this Halloween season you should join us at The Randolph Theatre (736 Bathurst St.) for a strictly limited engagement, from Oct. 31 to Nov. 9.

Starvox Entertainment has taken the cult classic Evil Dead and has given it a twist. Taking the show on the road in a classic broadway fashion, this year we will be celebrating Halloween with the cast & crew of Evil Dead – The Musical and I would encourage you to get your tickets today to avoid missing out on this one of a kind experience.

“Once again staged by co-creator and original director Chris Bond, Evil Dead – The Musical is an old fashioned boy meets girl story. Then boy, girl and friends take a weekend getaway at a cabin in the woods, boy hopes to get lucky, but accidentally unleashes an ancient evil force; friends turn into Candarian Demons, and boy fights until dawn to survive!”

For those of you too young (I’m about to date myself here) the original Evil Dead film, check out the original movie trailer from 1981 below.

“Playing to sold out audiences around the world, Evil Dead – The Musical is a proven critic and fan favourite. Starvox introduced Evil Dead – The Musical to Philadelphia in 2013 before heading back to Toronto for a limited run that was repeatedly extended after sold-out success. The current North American tour includes stops in Toronto and Hamilton, with stateside stops in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, New York, Connecticut, North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.”

The best part of this Halloween apropos musical hitting the stage starting October 31st 2014 is of course the infamous “Splatter Zone”. Not for those of you looking for an elegant evening at the theatre, this designated area and highly recommended experience offers exactly what it sounds like. Better than 3D, you will quite literally become a part of the excitement of the show in the first four rows of the centre orchestra.
